Spring Equinox – Ceremony on Waqib’ Tijax

Maya Fire and Cacao Ceremonie.

March 21 | 10:00 a.m.
Guided by LavaLove Cacao

The Spring Equinox marks the exact moment when day and night meet in perfect balance. It is a portal of renewal, a threshold where light begins to expand and life awakens once again from the earth.

This year we celebrate in the energy of Waqib’ (6) Tijax.

What does the day Tijax mean?

Tijax is the nahual of the sacred obsidian blade.
It represents the power to cut, heal, and release.

It is the energy of the spiritual surgeon, the traditional healer, the one who understands that for something new to be born, what no longer serves must first be cleansed. Tijax cuts through illness, energetic attachments, repetitive thoughts, and memories that weigh on the heart.

At its deepest level, Tijax reminds us that healing requires courage.
To cut is not to destroy — it is to restore balance.

The number 6 (Waqib’) brings harmony, rhythm, and stability. It is the force that organizes movement and allows what has been cleared to find a new order.

 Ceremony Narrative

On this Equinox, when light and darkness stand in perfect balance, we gather to honor the power of conscious cutting.
To release burdens.
To heal memories.
To open paths with clarity.

Spring invites us to bloom — yet we cannot bloom while holding onto what has already completed its cycle.

Come bring your prayer.
Come with clear intention.
Come with what you are ready to release and what you wish to plant.

We will gather in circle, accompanied by ceremonial cacao from LavaLove Cacao — a heart medicine that softens the process and connects us with our inner truth.

May the sacred fire cut what must be cut.
May the obsidian open the way.
May the growing light of the sun illuminate our new beginning.

We await you on March 21 at 10:00 a.m.
Bring your prayer, flowers for the altar, and a heart ready to be reborn. 🌞🌺
