Plants that Heal: Ancestral Medicine and Ointment-Making
April 16, 2026

This is a special opportunity to learn time-tested generational herbal remedies from experienced Mayan Midwives. These Nanas are skilled family medicine practitioners in their rural community in Santa Lucia, where they are striving to create an herbal clinic to serve a wide range of family needs. All proceeds of this class will go towards materializing this dream.
In this workshop, we will make medicine together out of locally accessible herbs and materials, learning the healing properties of each ingredient. We will provide all materials and each participant will take a bottle of medicine home, and the remainder will be used in their blossoming clinic.
Please join us in supporting and learning from the Nana’s whose hands and prayers make life at the lake possible from one generation to the next. We look forward to sharing with you! Bring a friend!
