About the Facilitators…

Adi Shakti

Adi Shakti is a dedicated social justice and humanitarian advocate whose journey of service began in the academic halls of Chicago. Armed with a formal degree in the philosophy of social justice, Adi committed her college years to serving those in marginalized communities.

Upon graduation, Adi moved to the lush landscapes of Costa Rica’s southern Caribbean. There she immersed herself deeply in the fabric of the local community, working closely with rural populations and engaging in advocacy and fundraising efforts for the BriBri, an indigenous group in the region.

Her early experiences in Costa Rica laid a solid foundation for her eventual role with an organization focused on yoga and humanitarian tservice. True to her principles, Adi facilitated funding for ongoing global projects, continuing her mission to make a profound and positive impact on the world. She founded SoulWork in 2014 and has since certified over 3,000 Trauma Informed yoga teachers.

Adi Shakti’s story is one of passion, perseverance, and the pursuit of social equity, inspiring others to contribute towards a more just and compassionate global community.
